Maintenance Cut
This haircut is a one hour service that includes a customized hair care plan, relaxing shampoo, hair cut, and style.
INVESTMENT: $95
Major Cut
This haircut is for big change moments or for a style that requires more than an average maintenance cut. An hour and a half service dedicated to making sure your big change will be perfect.
INVESTMENT: $115+
Curly Cut
If you have naturally curly hair, and wear it in its natural state 100% of the time, this is the cut for you. Please arrive with your hair down, clean, dry, and styled how you normally would. This service requires more time, as it includes a personalized styling session and longer drying time. Service time averages 1-2.5 hours depending on density and curl pattern. New clients please book an in person complimentary consultation.

BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT
Brazilian Blowout improves the condition of the hair by creating a protective protein layer around the hair shaft to eliminate frizz and smooth the cuticle. Cuts blowdry time in half. Lasts up to 12 weeks. This service compliments color services as it seals the color deep into the hair cuticle for ultimate longevity.
Service is 1.5-2.5 hours depending on density of hair.

Keratin Complex Smoothing
A range of customizable keratin treatments available for all needs. All which eliminate frizz, increase manageability, repair damage, and leave the hair noticeably softer with luminous shine. Treatments also will extend the longevity of any color service.

Add this exfoliating service to any hair cut or color. Your scalp will be meticulously brushed with a specialty boar bristle brush, then exfoliated with Oribe serene scalp scrub, and finished with a soothing topical and extended head massage. cancellation policy
While I understand life happens and schedules shift, I hold your appointments just for you & ask that if you must cancel or reschedule any appointment, you provide me with 24-hour notice. This way, I will be able to adjust the schedule accordingly and may be able to accommodate clients on my waiting list. I do, of course, understand that unavoidable issues come up and will do my very best to work with you in case of an emergency, etc.
No call/ No show will be charged 100% of booked service.
late policy
Last minute cancellations will not be charged if the spot can be filled in that time period before scheduled appointment. If it can not for some reason be filled, there will be a 100% charge for booked service.

Mary Jo is a lover of all things beauty and adventure. Having picked up her first pair of shears at the age of 12. It was that first cutting kit that planted a seed of love and passion for hair, and all the beautiful elements that accompany it.
Having been almost a decade since cosmetology school graduation, the spark for her craft has only gotten brighter. Mary Jo feels blessed to have the opportunity to create beautiful hair for amazing people.
Growth and continuing education take priority, attending multiple hands on workshops and yearly hair seminars is always a MUST.
Mary Jo was just great! Cut my hair with precision, was on-time, pleasant, really got what I wanted. I will most definitely be continuing my hair care here at Malva, with Mary Jo.

Just had my first appointment with Mary Jo and she was awesome! I have curly/very wavy hair and a lot of it and most people don’t know how to style or cut it. Mary Jo understood everything I was wishing for and why my past experiences didn’t workout as I’d hoped. She cut a few inches off, showed me step by step how to style my hair at home using products I currently own so that I could make it look just like she did! It was super helpful, and my hair is as curly as ever – YAY! Thanks Mary Jo – highly recommend her for curly/wavy haired gals wanting to accentuate their natural hair!
Mary Jo is a fantastic stylist and sweet person. After a long search for someone to take me from my dyed red, but natural dark blonde (and grey) to a fun purple – I finally found my match! Mary Jo not only created the perfect color for me, but also bought also brought my hair back to health from a rough color correction. She’s wonderful at both color and haircuts – and can even do clipper art which is hard to find!! She’s a wealth of knowledge and has an arsenal of talents. Had my first Brazilian blowout with her and it’s amazing! I’m so excited to have found such a great fit for me and will be going to Mary Jo for years to come. Highly recommend (and I’m super picky when it comes to my stylist).
Had a great experience with Mary Jo! Found Malva House of Hair on the internet and gave them a call to schedule a Keratin Treatment! Mary Jo took me on as new client of hers, she was very attentive and flexible to work with. Process went smooth just like my hair! Treatment should last a few months, but so far I’m a month in and complaints! You can look at her work on her instagram, but hopefully this review sways you to book a service with her! You won’t be disappointed!

Mary Jo is the BEST! I’ve seen her for a couple years now, and as long as we’re both in the same state I will absolutely continue to see her! I have a TON of really curly hair and I’ve always had a hard time finding someone who can cut it to look good when curly! Mary Jo has always done an awesome job with both the cut and color! We’ve taken it from dark to light and all the way to pink! She absolutely knows her stuff and I would whole heartedly recommend her! Also – she’s super sweet and funny, so being in her chair for a couple hours is always a JOY!

I love the feeling of this place and the fact that I was able to follow my favorite stylist here. Her name is Mary Jo McKinnon and she is fabulous. She has seen me through big life changes and no matter what was going on my cut and color would make me feel confident. I have been traveling and not always had access to a hair dryer and my hair still looks great. I feel like that is because of the quality cut I received from her.
I found Mary Jo years ago at another salon and followed her here because she’s that amazing. Heck, I drive 40 minutes across town because she’s just that amazing. In all my years of coloring my hair, she is the first that has completely nailed what I want, perfectly framed my face with a cut, while still keeping my hair healthy and shiny. She is the only hairdresser I’ll ever trust with my hair. She’s placated my indecisiveness by taking me from brown to maroon and then when I changed my mind, from maroon to blonde (in one sitting). She recently had the daunting task of taming my postpartum hair and nailed it. She is so knowledgeable regarding color and consistently goes to events/trainings/conferences to stay on trends. She’s so kind hearted and I couldn’t recommend her enough!
